Independence Park is located in the southern outskirts of the city, next to 10-Anniversary of Prosperity avenue and Archabil avenue. Its territory occupies 140 hectares, which is almost half of all the Ashgabat green open space. Groomed paths, marble stairs and porches, flowerbeds and cozy benches are all necessary attributes of a recreation-and-entertainment park.

Botanical garden in Ashgabat is located in the Eastern part of the city, on the territory of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, between the streets 2029, Gerogly. In the immediate vicinity of the garden are the Institute of Agriculture of Turkmenistan Embassy of Iran with a small living quarter for diplomats, cinema “Kosmos” and the restaurant “Aina”.
